Why Font Embedding Matters
A PDF can either embed the actual font data or simply reference a font by name. If the font isn't embedded and the print shop's computer doesn't have that exact font installed, it gets substituted — usually with a default font that has different spacing and character widths. This can shift text, break line wraps, or replace special characters entirely.
How to Check If Fonts Are Embedded
In Adobe Acrobat: File → Properties → Fonts tab lists every font used and whether it's embedded. Fonts marked without "(Embedded)" next to them are at risk of substitution.
Fixing It Automatically
